NAGOYA

Due to worsening weather conditions above Hawaii, the Solar Impulse team decided to land the plane at an alternate airport in Nagoya, Japan. Nevertheless, the flight from Nanjing to Nagoya has been successful: the pilot André Borschberg and the plane performed very well, as expected. Solar Impulse broke the record for the longest flight in a solar airplane. The team is working to find the next available weather window to reach Hawaii.

Nagoya is an unexpected stop for Solar Impulse. This is part of the adventure. The plane will recharge its batteries and the team will prepare for the Pacific crossing again.
